Iron ruler can provide a short break, or longer, more complex games, depending on how you set the parameters. In any case, only one remains standing in the end.
Aside from the oldschool charm, Iron Ruler’s central feature is unit management based on the triangular number sequence. Armies composed of 2 units are worth 3 points. If there are 3, the army is worth 6 points… (1 3 6 10 15). You’ll find it provides more depth than just pitting units against each other.
Note that you can play with friends on Steam using the ingame Steam overlay.
